lol, i was gonna take pics today, but we had to punch back in from lunch. the axle is completely torn down, and we welded the spring perches on today. we're gonna beef them up tomorrow, and clean up the axle to smooth it all out. we're also gonna test fit other parts like the rear hangers for the front springs, and locate the axle to where id "want" it. next pay check in think im gonna get the gears(ha only $130 with install kit, i love discounts), and misc. stuff to rebuild the axle like ball joints, u joints, seals calipers, rotors. anyone know where some good chevy flattops are? i need those as well.

Crossmembers and supports would need to be fabbed but that snothing compared to everything else.

I used a bellhousing from a 87-89 2.8 v6 stang ( and the T5 from it ) . I had to play with drilling and rebalancing my flywheel and clutches. I was lucky enough to find a 10.5inch that fit.
If you use a bellhousing from a 2.3Turbocoup, and it had a T5, you SHOULD be able to find a short-case ( changed tail piece/transfer case ) from a ford truck all in one piece.
The clutch/pressureplate and flywheel are another story. You might want to measure the throw-out berring in the end of the crank and make sure the main shaft will fit properly as well. I don;t see why anything couldn;t be a bolt in for this as the 2.3 has the 6 bolt pattern like a SB ford.. the flywheel bolt pattern is all that concerns me.. I dunno if its a 6 bolt like a small block on your engine or not. If its teh same pattern, I would bet a nut it would all bolt right up.
from this mornig, i did a lot of cleaning up the old stuff we cut off, and cleaned it up alot. gonna fill in the holes and regring smooth then get it fully primered for now. gotta get some flattop knuckles and hi steer arms still.
