truck is kinda squirrlie

my tires were just rotated 2 days ago. as i go down the road it gets squirrlie. kinda hard to control. i let my mom drive it to go to the store as i was working on her blazer and she was scared to drive it. all my lugs are tight. my tires were rotated front to back.

on the steering i barley move the wheel and it goes left or right but soon as i get the truck where i want it in my lane. it then goes the other way. and this is all the way down the road.
what would cause this?

Could be bad tie rods. Mine would wander when my outers were bad, your inners could be bad if it moves a lot.

If your toe in (alignment) is out significantly it would do this too. But no idea why it would act up when you had the tires rotated. A separating tire can certainly make it pull one way, but won't usually pull one way and then the other. Unless the mechanic who rotated the tires dropped your truck off the hoist!!

I'd just bite the bullet and take it to a good alignment shop. That's their business, making it track in a straight line and handle well. They'll check all the front end parts too.

i checked the tie rod end. i grabbed it and had someone turn my wheel and it would pop. i only checked the driver side. would it be a steering sector?

Well if thats the case, that isn't a bad price. It would be 170 buck labor, and it would take them a few hours to do it...

i would let them fix it....if i remember correctly from Bill's (04lvl2) rack replacement, you have to drop the front diff to get the rack and pinion out...

Go for a reman , at least it would have some kind of warranty. A salvaged rack , you might be worse off than you are now.
