1994 Ford Ranger 4.0 - NEW Misfire/Priming Issue
Howdy, so I have a 94 Ford Ranger 4.0 manual 4x4. It is a heavily modified vehicle but aside from wiring the jk rubicon e-lockers under it the drive train is stock.
So I was recently in a rollover, but the truck (and me) was saved by the exo cage, it is a rock crawler/daily driver on 35s so the couple dents it received was no factor.
Anyways, two months later sometimes it works great, the fuel pump comes on, shuts off, and it starts fine.
Other times, it has an issue where you turn the key, and the fuel pump will run for the foreseeable future with no fuel pressure, and thus is will not start, cranks fine but does not fire.
I have even had an issue where it will seam all is well on startup, then randomly sometime down the road it will start to give a little kick/buck/rattle and it will get worse and worse until either it dies, or I pull over and give it a few minutes.
MAF Sensor and plugs and wires all are new and were installed after it developed this issue.
Any suggestions on what it could be would be greatly appreciated.
Not sure why the pump would be running but I would have fuel pressure.......
Thank you.
