john i missed somthing.. when did you get the SS?? i'll have to see that baby some day

its Andy's service, my dad has built some additions for them so we know all the guys and Andy perty good.

the motor is mint at 68k no leaks or anything and the trany has 20k on it. a T5 would have required an adapter i believe and some work. but i just wanted it easy. And the 4R70W with the shift kit should work nice.

and yeah Zack im sure i'll break somthn but im gona try and not do that right away and gradualy build up the strength throughout the truck

im going to look at/work on it tomarrow so hopefully i can have some updates

Sooo does the Expedition Tcase plug right into the harness of the ranger to shift into 4x4? And did u use a explorer engine harness i assume, does it just plug into the original ranger dash harness at the drivers side firewall? Im really thinkin of doing this soo please all the info and hard run ins please post!

Hey man, it's gonna be fun. When I get mine done, we will have to cruise. Mines a bit lower, but still good. If you need more help, let me know. I own a shop in Brooklyn Park.

hah dude i didnt even realize from yer other post that you were from MN, and really not too far from me. what all do you guys do for services there? would you be willing to make me some headers..im gona be looking for some after its done here soon cause the torque monsters are $$$, also maybe a tune. Ill deffinetly keep your shop in mind. where is it located? maybe i'll stop by someday.

well some more progress was made. I had to leave before the engine assem. was put on the frame. but its now in.

I wish i could do this again to sand and paint the frame!

few guys at the shop thought they were finny...

And Kevin i'll keep you posted on the wiring when we get into it, its not really plug and play, kinda splice in and play. just find all the right wires that go togther etc. The expedition T-case will be a little bit harder as we found the wiring is a bit different, but thats what the wiring books are for

Nice work.

You know you have to re-wire the ranger Tach, PATS system, and VSS signal too right?

that was a brillant idea pulling the cab off! can't wait to see her done!.....you are going to have to either get larger tires, or higher gears with all that extra power
