No. thats not what im saying. Im saying the 0ga alternator wire is the worthless part. not the grounds..

since your likely running a large power wire to your amps. then you need a way for that large amount of power to return to the battery which is why you would upgrade the grounds.

same would be true with a HO alt. so then, and only then, you need to upgrade those wires.

without a HO alternator you won't be doing anything with those big wires on it. there for its a waste of time and money.

Alright what I'll do tomorrow is pull my 0g off my alternator(since the stock wire is still hooked up) and see the difference.

So when theteach electrical theory and batteries in trade school they are wrong? Your telling me the each cell in the battery should not measure at 2.1V? And the combined total of all six fully charged cells is not 12.6V? Hmmm... Your magical 13.5V battery is called a surface charge. Even a battery that fails a load test and should be replaced can still read at 13.5V after charge but when you put a load on it the battery will immediatly drop to mid 12s or lower

 

other 12v lead acid batteries can hold higher charges then 12.6, I was a volt off for our particular truck..

I neglected to mention to turn the lights off before you measure.
