Ranger ST-X rare?

I saw one at the Junkyard, 80's model. Didn't even know they made them that far back? Scored the big ol' ST-X badges off it. Only other one I saw was a 03' and I herd they were "rare"? Whats even special about the ST-X package, the 03' had a special bed on it looked similar to a Mazda B series bed but was different.

You can see Ranger brochures here: https://www.therangerstation.com/art...ger-brochures/

XLS was first Sport trim, it looks like

Then the STX

Then I think the "Splash" was there for awhile, then the "Edge" trim package

Since these were usually pay extra trims I would assume they wouldn't be as common as XL and XLT

I owned an 89 STX for 13 years. I can't say they are extremely rare but they are far from common. I did not some across many of them when I had it. The 89 STX was the last year that had the factory lift. I don't know what year they started it. I am pretty sure the factory lift was available before the STX.
