Picked it up from the dealer after getting analy RAPED for a new transmission.

Replaced the Y-Pipe O2 sensor. Torched off the old one and installed the new one after a very liberal application of anti-seize.

Replaced the front driver side mud flap bracket. Had to hit up a j/y for the replacement. The old one rusted and snapped off.

Replaced the mud guard between the right front tire and the inner fender well. I already had it, just had to swallow my pride and buy new plastic connectors for it.

FINALLY got around to investigating why the cruise control button on my steering wheel doesn't light up (and why it wobbles). Turns out the one mounting tab on the housing was broken off, and there is a "special order" light bulb inside the housing. When it burns out, you are better off buying the whole assembly that mounts to the steering wheel. $70 EFFING DOLLARS from Ford@!#$%%^ No wonder they didn't need the bailout! Back to the j/y for this one.

LOL I've also vacuumed my interior and SCRUBBED my driver seat after years of dirt and filth buildup. Hehehe it almost matches the passenger seat now.

Was also going to wash my Ranger today but it was near freezing so that would not have panned out well.

Cleaned it up. Went to organize my storage box in the bed as soon as i opened it up it reeked like gear lube. Well 3 quarts had spilled covering random stuff tools and all my chains and straps are all nasty. Gonna soak all the tools in simple green and then soak them in some WD40

Changed the tranny fluid the other day, and the fluid looked horrible lol.

Decided to snap a picture of a very useful mod while I was in the process. It is a custom fabbed shifter extension. I held the loose shifter in my hands where it felt comfortable, took some quick measurements, then fabbed it up right quick. Black rustoleum paint.

Kinda dark (because dark is the only time of day I can do anything besides work lol)

Worked out a heck of a lot better than laying on the ground while frost is forming on you, struggling with a crappy syphon hose. Lesson learned. lol

I didnt think you could fill it from the top like that. For some odd reason, I thought that it was a different part of the transmission. Silly me.

Tons of thanks man.

Not hard at all. Drain the tranny fluid using drain plug (with fill plug out, its easier for the fluid to drain)
Re-install both fill and drain plugs, and pour the transmission fluid in through the top of the tranny buy taking off your shifter assembly.
Refer to your truck's manual for the correct fill amount.

NOTE: You are supposed to fill the tranny through the fill plug. That way, the fluid will begin to run back out of the fill plug when it is full to the correct amount.

I think that I was on uneven ground, so I couldnt get all of the fluid in through the fill plug. I then took the shifter assembly off and poured the rest in through the top.

Not really what I did to the truck today, but what will be done soon :). Convinced my wife to buy me the SOLID diff cover for the rear :), so when I get it for Xmas, I'll be swapping the rear fluid out and putting the new cover on. While on the lift, I'll suction out the front fluid and replace the pinion seal. Amsoil severe duty GL-5 75W-90 will be going in front and rear.

If I knew you needed a muffler I would have given you mine. It was too quiet for me so I took it off and I'm straight piped.

I ran straight for a long long time and it got to my head on the highway cruising. Lost lots of low end torque also but it does sound good.

I love the way dumped sounds now. Picked it up for $35 Brand new and installed it myself all stick welded haha
