I just put horns from a Caddy in mine, for under 30 bucks. Sounds way better.

I would start simple and go from there. Clean the contacts at the horn. They get corrosion and cause problems. Next check that they are grounding properly. If they ground to frame by the mounting bolt take them off and clean the contact area.

 

How about checking the horn relay? Happened in on of my older vehicles.

 

Get a sticker that say's....Horn busted watch for finger
