I have a 2011 Ford Ranger 4X4 that I bought new in 2011 with the 4.0 engine. It currently has 316,000 miles on it and runs terrific. In the last couple weeks the horn will start beeping all by itself. Sometimes it will beep just driving and sometimes it will beep when I hit the brakes. Last week I took the airbag off of the steering wheel and check the wiring there and in the steering column for exposed wires or a possible short. I didn't see any issues. After I did that the horn stopped beeping by itself for about a week. Yesterday it started beeping by itself again so I disconnected the horn until I can get this figured out. Hopefully someone has some idea of what is causing my issue? Thank you!

 

Faulty horn relay?

 

I did look for the horn relay but I didn't see one described in the owners manual or one on the truck itself.
