Thats because you used the spray can stuff, nothing of "texture" size can come out of that tiny *** nozzle.

The duplicolor roll on liner's work well. I just did my bed rails this past weekend with it because I didn't have them do it when they did the bed liner (I don't know why ). But it came out great. If prepped properly it will work just fine.

 

I hate Herculiner, Save the hassle and get it professionally sprayed. I got mine done for 350 bucks.

I did my 01 with herculiner and I am telling you it is crap and in the end I would have saved money.

Here is what it cost me:

Herculiner 75 bucks

better materials to prep bed 25-30 bucks

one day to prep, figure about 8 hours (According to my boss my time is worth about $30 and hour) 240 bucks

First coat, two hours 60 bucks

Second coat, tow hour 60 bucks

third coat, two hours 60 Bucks

Fourth coat, two hours 60 Bucks

Re assembe my bed and carefully cut the masking out of the herculiner to leave a profeesional edge, two hours. 60 Bucks

Put my four wheeler in it once and have the Herculiner scrape down to the Pirmer, then have to buy a new kit to fix it. 35 bucks

When it came time to trade it was so beat up and crappy looking, I had to buy a plastic bed liner to cover it up so they wouldn't notice it, ABout 100 Bucks

So all added up it cost me about 780 bucks, now if I gave away my time it still cost me 240 bucks and all it di was screw up my bed.

My 2004, I dropped it off at Rhino liner across the street from work, worked for 8 hours, picked it up, paid 350 dollars and it was a nicer product, less stress and if I had a problem with it, it had a warranty.

Hazzardjohn. Did you have primer between the metal and the herculiner?

Doesn't herculiner require baremetal to adhere properly?
