Bigandrw's 86 SAS/ Cobra Build
Alright i have a couple of updates.
I recently purchased a set of headman ranger 302 conversion headers and painted them up nice and pretty.
bought a whole new steering gear for the ranger. paid 150 bucks for everything from the steering wheel down to the pitman arm. i wound up using my existing steering stalk because my truck is a xlt king cab and has cruise control and such.
i got the steering done, and now all that is left is to get a set of lift leaf springs for the rear and buy a 347 stroker kit for the truck.
on to the pictures:

painted the frame

drag link all welded and painted

also bought a new grille from the same guy and i had to put my old rangers ovals on it

new clean painted steering wheel and column

cleaned and painted power steering box

finally! steering is complete

Update.
I have grown tired of the ranger sitting in the garage , so i decided to get on the ball and get some stuff done.
the truck will be running by december. so with that being said here are some pictures:
I took the motor down to the machine shop, got it bored .030 over, ordered a eagle 306 kit, ordered a ford racing f cam, a new double roller timing chain, new lifters, new gaskets and some good 'ole ford blue engine paint.

im going tomorrow to pick up an hei distributor, and a holley 650 double pumper.
ordered a new cam bolt, head studs, main studs, stainless intake bolts, and chromolly rod bolts,
ive ported and polished my heads, intake and gasket matched all the gaskets.
here is a picture of the motor partially assembled:

thats it for now.
