I found a decent deal over on pirate, and im meeting the guy today. Set of 35x12.50x15 procomp xterrains on 15x10 black soft 8s with true beadloks. I figured 500 is not to bad of a price.

They should still work since they just bolt to the axle housing, you'll just have to get different disc's

Why are you doing 6 lug shafts?

Got some good progress done today. Cleaned up the interior and started messing with the motor.
Got it 90% disassembled, and all the internals are looking good. It has an upgraded cam, and for those of you that have been reading from the beginning it is bored .060 over. Roller rockers, pistons, heads all look good and that makes me happy. So anyways I figured what good is a bunch of talk without proof?

Putting the motor on the stand:

Smooth. No scratches or scores so im happy:

And it is in fact stamped 060:

5.13s is a little much with a 351 on 35s. I think Zach has 5.13s on his 44s with his 5.4. You need 4.??s. Depends on what type of wheeling you plan on. Rock crawling you needs like 4.88s, trails you need like 4.10s.

Well that's what I'm saying, the more motor you have the higher the ratio you need.

ie)
Ranger on 35s needs 4.88s

F-150 on 35s needs 3.73s

I disagree.

It's all personal preference and the type of driving you do and where you want your power.

Even with an F-150 on 35's, I'd still rather have 4.10's minimum, maybe even 4.56's. The difference you gave from 3.73 to 4.88 is over 2 more cylinders, is probably jumping the gun.

And to help you on the gears. I say go for it. You're gonna love 5.13's and 35's for a wheeler. Keeping the crawl ratio nice and low with axle gears like those. Of course the spool is gonna be nice, as long as he didn't consider a lincoln locker a spool, which essentially is a spool, just the poor mans spool.
