The Blown-Ranger
Added outboard hanger for exhaust. Now I can cut the oval I have been talking about. I needed to lock down the pipes, so I can get a close/clean fit.
Running battery cables. Added a secondary layer of hose, (to prevent wear on battery cable. Sparks and gas tank might NOT work out too well !!
Best weight transfer will be with the battery behind the right rear tire. Doing all I can to help traction. ** If I find I can't get it done with leafs, I will change to coil-overs, (in a heart beat)!
Getting the fuel fill up to the fender is next.
"Insane" is a good word for it.
I would surely go NUTS, if I had nothing to do but stay home and wear my mask!! 🤪
I have the stock GN ECU, but not sure it will take me where I want to go.
Since my GN guy came up with a new set of 30 year old FORGED SpeedPro pistons, turbo rods with APR rod bolts, ... I am dreaming about aftermarket ECU, with full control of Ign and fuel.
wide band O2
trans control
different set-ups at the flip of a switch
data logging, self tuning
staged boost control for max traction
... Expensive ... YES! ... But really, the only way to be safe and fast!

Fuel-It
A little hard to see, ... but I sliced the top of the frame rail and bent it down to about 45 degrees, then plated it back in. This allows the fill hose to pass up between the frame and bed, without any issues.
Some copper elbows fit the bill perfectly. Nice, tight turns, with no restrictions. Bending this thick wall PVC fuel hose, causes crimps. The vent tube will follow up to the highest point under the bed. It will have a check valve and filter on the end.
Got the filler port in the side of the fender. 45 degree elbow to match-up to the hose from tank.
Here is the fuel door on the drivers side rear fender. I am thinking about using the origional side door for a methanol tank. ??!
Roughing in the exhaust outlet oval in the passenger side step. More to do here.

Holy-CRAP!!!
Could this really happen??! The truck oil pan is keeping it from sitting all the way down (5" more), and back 4". That is 6.0 LS with 1,000 hp S475 turbo I am building for a 1981 chevy Caprice. I just wondered if it would SQUEEZE in there 😳

This is an all Aluminum 5.3 with twin T3-T4 turbos, good for about 900 hp. Quicker spool, easier to live with.
Bad-azz sheetmetal intake, with 102 mm TB.
coil covers, give it a "big block" look. 👍

Taking a break on the Ranger, to hop-up an already fast SRT-8 Jeep Grand Cherokee.
Bigger SC, for even MORE POWER!
I need time to clear my head from the awesome
"LS TEMPTATION"
I still like the Grand National V-6 idea because of the unusual combination... and everyone is swapping in the LS engines. ?????!
