just stock, I believe anyways. I was hoping for the luck of a locker and some steeper gears since being a show truck but its open that I can tell from the outside and i'll fine out the gears tomorrow. But I had already planned on getting 4.88's anyways. and i'll need to do a locker as well.

Cool! That should work out well for you. Let me know if you have any questions as you get into the swap.

yeah for sure, i'll have to do the 5x4.5 change on the shafts but that shouldnt be too bad. then I'll hopfully be getting the giant 64 kit to throw on it too.

got started tearing apart the truck and getting ready for the goods. No going back now, trashed the springs and hangars and my rear axle was sold Saturday. So now I got the motivation I guess heh. I started kinda late in the day yesterday but got a decent amount done before dark. I did manage to sell the bed cover, bed mat, tailgate, stock bumper and the rear axle which will pay for all my glass I need and then some. So I should be getting headers to put on too before I get rid of the body lift, since its real easy to do right now.

Next up is to go pick up some tube and plate and get going on remaking some of the crossmembers and plating some of the frame. Then I gotta get the axle under in and start fabn up the bedcage etc. I have to order a 1-3/4 die set though cause I dont want to make it out of 1-1/2 tube.

someone wanted a pic of how my frame looked for mounting the bumper.

why I never really want to hit mud again. you rattle this **** out of all the nooks and crannies when yer hammering. Probably like 7 year old mud heh, truck is losing more weigh as I hammer its great.

Looking good! Those axles are 34 spline. As I recall, the c-clip appears to be 1/4" plate.

[QUOTE]

A minor recommedation: weld in some weldable washers on the lower a-arm mounts. This will help to combat the mount holes from becoming sloppy. Also, consider installing some upper a-arm gussets. Camburg sells a set that are fairly cheap. I wish that I had thought to add the upper gussets before I had installed the DBR kit.

I've done both of those with my truck and completely agree. Very much worth it to do it now while it's apart.
