I have not yet but that is on my to do list and matter of fact last night while driving it the remote starter box fell out from under the dash and layed on the floor with wires everywhere......I am thinking that my problem lays in there. Taking that completely out is my first project today.

The new lights work so much better now!Passenger side housing was melted so I had to replace that one tho. I also found that the clutch fan was tied up and replaced it with a new one, that combined with the fixed vaccum lines, modded air box, seafoam treatment totaly changed how it runs now! Its quieter, smoother and has a bit more pep now.

The remote starter was suppose to of been all disassembled when the ignition was work done.

I wouldn't mine meeting up one day when you get the rest of the bugs worked out and go for a ride to see the difference.

You find out what plant your going to yet?

Oh its still very much still wired in,I looked at it when I first got it and only see a ground wire cut.

Let me finish up a few more things and I would be glad to meet up with you one day, grab some lunch or something.

Still no calls about work yet. After the boning we got yesterday I am not sure I will get a call to go back to work now.....I have bad feelings about the next few months.

I didn't do the work on the ignition system I was just going by what my dad said the guy who worked on it did.

I know that they are still saying they are going to start a 3rd shift at the truck plant. I wish you the best of luck.

Found it!

I cut ALL of the remote starter crap out {what a hack job!} and that didnt seem to have any effect on truck but when I went to start it it was dead again. Put charger on it and fuel pump started running with no key in! Started checking wiring and found just moving the relay would turn the pump on and off with the key on or off. It melted the pigtail so I replaced that and got a new relay and its all good now!

....now maybe I can get back to welding those sliders on.

I am glad you figured it out. I am also glad I can say I never worked on any of the electrical except for the start and battery.

Can not wait to see the sliders on, my dad built them right after we did the lift but never finished them.

Monday update.....

No sliders yet Later tonite maybe.

I trimmed up the factory bumper and added some 85w Pilot lights and a Pilot light controller which I really like.I will add four more light to the roof rack{2 forward,2 backward} and another pair in the rear bumper.

Controller will work with 4 sets of lights up to 120w each.

I got my CB all installed and put in a second 12v plug for phone/ipod/Sirius plugs. I ran a 8 gauge wire off the battery into the cab and mounted a large fuse block to the kick panel so I have a good 12v power source for my add-on crap with out having to tap into the factory fuse box.I also wired in my Sirius satellite radio.

Here is a motor shot with all the crap removed, cleaned, fix vaccum lines, new clutch fan, hood lite fixed, new fuel pump relay and fixed hood latch.

Tore apart shift motor and found the typical broken plastic stop.

Fixed with rubber vac line. Now has 4wd!

.....time to get back out there now.

Just came back in. Welded on a straight Mustang stainless tailpipe since I had to cut the stock 90º tailpipe off when I did the Belltech shackle swap.

Ordered new shocks and boots from Duff today.Manual hubs are on the way also, just need to get the Warn D44 hub nuts.

I started knocking off some of the really bad rust and coated them with POR15 until I can geta round to doing bodywork on it.

Drilled the front frame for tow hooks that are just behind the bumper, nice and outa sight.

Gona take it out in the morning to a local spot and do some mild wheelin to see how it does.Pix will be taken.

Very nice Brian. Why did you fix the hood latch? did like opening it with a screwdriver.lol

I have thought about using one of those Pilot wireless remote for my lights, let me know how it works out.

You are making me very jealous with what you have done to it in such a short amount of time.

Score today!

I hit some junkyards with a buddy today and got a 91 Explorer grill, front driveshaft and the t-case flange for $100. I have been lookin to upgrade the stock rear driveshaft and this will work perfect.

I also found a guy parting out a 87 Jeep YJ project that had a brand new D35 Aussie Locker in the rear never installed. 125.00!

And all my Duff shocks showed up today...too bad they forgot to put my boots in the dam box.So I have to wait a few more days for those to go on.

Man you aint kidding,I feel the same way about my Ranger too!Although my plan is to slowly return it as close to stock again as I can get it.

I think I am going to do all the mods to the TTB and see how far I can take it. I really see no reason to SAS it for the type of wheelin I like to do.

As soon as I get back to work I want to buy some 33x12.50's in either TrxusMudders or Creepy Crawlers for the steel 15" rims I got with it.

I need to come see this thing sometime when I'm in Toledo. How far is your place from T-town? Also what junkyards do you go to?

Haha. King of the Road Auto Parts. Wonderful name... There is a junkyard in Napoleon with a few B2's, some older Explorers and some Rangers if you ever need anything else.

I've never been to Spuds or Dads. Westwood Auto Parts is decent too.

What spot are you talking about near 295? I'm not really familiar with it.

If you dont mind some pin stripes I would be glad to show you! Private land ,mostly sand set up for the guys atv's but gave us permission to wheel back there as long as we dont ruin their tracks.

Pin stripes are a no go. If I could convince my pops to let me take one of our quads I'd be all over that.

Another productive day!

Dug out a old FMS Traction Lok for a 7.5 rear I had and threw it in the truck for now until I get my 8.8 ready.Found out it does have 3.73 gears also.

Found my Explorer grill and my new H.D. rear driveshaft at Voll junkyard also. Gona put new u-joints in before I install it.

I picked up my Dana 44 hub/spindle locking nuts so I can convert to manual front hubs when my new hubs show up in a day or two.

I also got my new Duff 70/30 shocks but they forgot my boots so I have to wait for those.

Also have a new Aussie Locker on the way for the front axle!
