Phase 1 complete. I dont wanna hear any crap about doin the easy job first.

I got the plate mounted to the spare tire with a mount I came up with. DEI lighted bolts wired to the stock wiring. Stock rear bumper is gone.......

All stainless fasteners. The mount clamps on to the rim from the back side.

I guess Im kinda happy to report that the rear mounting brackets on Gumby's bumper will not work on my truck. The B2 gas tank is too wide and rear frame is a bit different than a Ranger.

This Im happy about, sorta. The brackets on there seemed a little little duty to be yanking on {which Gumby didnt need to worry about since he had a hitch}. So it looks like I will be cutting them off and building much stronger brackets and mount them like my factory bumper did which will be plenty strong to yank on.Plus it was a little too low using the brackets that were on it.I will tuck it up tight to the plastic fill piece that went between the body and the factory bumper.

Gimmie a few hours and this thing is gonna look killer!!

OK, phase 2 complete!

Bumper turned out great, was able to modify the stock Bronco brackets to fit the bumper in a way that worked out to be a much stronger mount and gave me a solid place to bolt a light bracket to for aux lighting.

here is the bumper with the mounts that didnt work. I also cleaned up and painted the rear frame since it will be easy to see now.

Yes I know my tailpipe looks like *** now. That will be fixed Tuesday morning. This is a preview of how I will be fixing that problem..........

Nice! I'm guessing you running the exhaust out of the rear quarter panel where that hole is.

Thanks for the comments guys!

Got my new tailpipe made yesterday and it turned out great, just need to finish a piece of diamond plate that will cover the square hole.

Took a few pix outside,I love the way the bumper turned out!

Up and over top the spring nice and tight to the frame.

I got my skid plate all hammered flat again and painted it to match all my other stuff like the diamond plate and grill, my wheels and the center stripe down the side of the truck will be this color also.
I am the rattle can king!

And some bad news tonite.....oil pan is pissing again, bad. I am still takin it wheeling Saturday but it looks like maybe on sunday I will start pulling the motor so I can put a new oil pump and pan on it.

That really sucks about the oil pan, thats a good old 90's ford oil pan for you rusts from the inside.

Why didn't you just cut off the bottom of the quater panel below the body line to match up with the rear bumper.

That would open up an unsightly area where the frame, body mount, spring, exhaust, etc,is that personaly I dont think would look very good.

I guess its a good thing I need to change pans because something else is going on in there too. A few days ago I was on the e-way and if I went over 70mph {3000rpm} the motor would start to tick....BAD.SOunds like an oil starvation issue. If I kept the motor below 3k it was fine but anything over 3k it would start ticking louder and louder. So either the pick up is starting to plug up or the pump is getting weak.

I will be replacing the pan, pump, pick up and maybe even the bellhousing.

Almost got the winch mount done today, tried working thru a bad headache so I didnt get as much done as I wanted.

Still need to add more plate and some gussets. The tube bumper will bolt to the factory bumper mounts I reused. The lower half of the bumper which holds the skid plate will have to be cut off so it can be shortened and raised to clear my steering.
