Tank Came in today. Its nicer than I imagined. I have no idea how to extend the lines and what not. Any input?

Finished 75% of the frame work needed. I should have all that taken care of this weekend. I also swapped an aluminum to steel driveshaft with a buddy of mine tonight. I need to get that shortened about 2"

Another thing I need is straps for the fuel cell. Again no idea. I also have no idea where to mount it.

We pulled the bed and old tank out as well. So its getting there slowly.

Oh no pics. Sorry.

Go to your local O'Reilly. They have brass fittings that will go into the end of one hose and allow another to go onto the end. Then buy some fuel line and extend them. That is how I replaced a portion of my return line.

look at BII tank straps. You might have to fab a front and rear mounting point; i think that little fab work is in your means.

I guess napa carries this type of stuff, it taps right into the ford hard lines. and then you can use the same fitting that are like on the ford pump.

people on RPS also ditch the canister. So that is one less thing i need to worry about. LOL

And your check engine light will be on. My mom's Explorer's canister isn't setting level (the support plate rusted out) and i zip tied it up. It keeps the check engine light on.

Yeah I think I will just live with it.

I already have the ABS light and the Airbag light on, what one more! LOL

Edit: Actually 2 more because I will have that gas cap light on. I am sure the Door Adjar will pop up from time to time as well.

I would pull the bulbs; then they wouldn't be on

Have you thought about custom gauges or getting the PCM reflashed to take out the things you don't have?

I don't think the X2 can do that. I think it takes a PCM reflash. I would ask Nick and see what he says.

I dont know, I asked Fred about it, he acted like it could be done in his tunes, but he was not interested because of safety concerns.

I wanted a program that disabled the Air bags, when you are at the dunes its recommended that you pull the air bag fuse., well when you pull the fuse it disables your windshield wipers which sucks. I normally do not pull the fuse.

Either that or I need to talk D into meeting me, I know he can shut it off with his Digimoto.

What about Rich? He lives in MI and has all that programming stuff.

I don't really understand why you need to pull the air bag fuse at the Dunes. I am glad I don't have air bags now!

I can ask Rich but I dont think he has a Digimoto, but I am sure there are other tools.

Brenspeed is just around the corner too, I may ask them.

I must have misinterpreted what you said then. My bad!

Now back to your regularly scheduled R-F BS!
