Hello all,

I need help with my ranger. It was running through the gears rough for about a week and I thought maybe it was the gear oil level. Then one day it would not find 2nd gear at all, same day a bit later it stopped moving and would not go in to any gear. I naturally thought the clutch went out but the truck actually drove for a couple blocks in neutral. At that point, when I stopped at a light it stopped moving at all. It wont go into any gear or if it does it grinds badly. PLEASE HELP !! My ranger is my life.:

Sounds like the clutch.

Also you need to include year, engine, and model in your posts so we can actually help you.

 

pull the shifter out look down inside the tranny. there should be 2 gears that you can see up top. there is pins in these gears you need to line up and that will put your truck in neutral. get an m50d shifter repair kit and drive like normal haha. youll need a long flathead to move the gears.
