I would be a little hesitant about putting any major pressure against it if I wasn't using the proper sized wrench. But then again, I guess I never tried it.

I didn't feel comfortable skipping a cheap tool when it came to working on rather expensive suspension parts.

Like anything – I’m sure you can make other things work, but it's designed for two different wrenches.

Thought I'd say that these are the cheapest I could find through Google.
Off Road Warehouse - Shocks Fox Shocks 2.0'' Coil-Over Non-Reservoir Fox Shocks Fox Shox 2.0 X 6.5 Coil-over Emulsion Shock
These are sold in pairs and you will saive $0.01!!!
Fox Shocks 2 0" Pro Series 6 5" Travel Emulsion | eBay

lol.... I guess lower than $207.00 each they wouldn't make much money. Can't wait to get this all done. I'm silently screaming like a girl at church with Justin Bieber.

thanks for the info Logan! I just ordered mine. So I installed the coilovers yesterday and since i'm not driving the truck i'm now waiting for the wrenches to come in. How exactly do you know how much to adjust them? is it to level the height out basically? It is used to compress the coilover correct?

It levels out your truck and sets preload.

I called the powder coat shop yesterday, and they were scheduled to be shot and baked those afternoon. I should be picking them up Thursday (shop is closed on Wednesdays now).
I'll update when I have entertaining and I'm packing it all up!

My wife just chewed me a new one looking at the rims I recently bought, the Coilover brackets, and my $230.00 rockauto order. Lol.

OK guys, updates!!

The powdercoating is done. I'll have them today. Picking up the hardware tomorrow.
I'm out of town Saturday, but Sunday I'll start getting the hardware sorted, all the kits packaged, and hopefully start labelling them to ship out.

Everyone will recieve their tracking numbers as they ship.

If you haven't paid, please do so.

Also, I have an extra powdercoated set available from this run. I'll start at the top of the new list. I will PM the person, and give them the chance to scoop it up. If not, it will go to the next guy, and so on.

One more order of business, I'm going to be selling my shocks and springs. They are Strange S5206 single adjustable shocks with my custom extended rod ends and 600lb springs. This setup is ideally suited for a truck with a Superlift. I had it on my truck, and it was set to lift approximately 3" over stock, the height of a full TB crank. Anything lower didn't leave enough downward travel in the shocks. I was planning originally to put the Superlift on, but plans changed, so they're coming out. Looking to get $450 shipped for the setup. PM if you're interested.

when you guys adjust the preload do you disconnect the upper control arm for room or did you all do it before installation?

I adjusted after installation, and yes, I disconnected the UCA and swung it up out of the way.

On a scale of 1-10 how hard are the coil overs to install?

It's somewhat subjective, but I would give it a 5

I'd have to say 7. For some reason they just wouldn't fit. Aside from welding the gussets in the wrong spot, trying to get the c/o into the brackets w/powdercoat was a pain.

I'm going to work on correcting the clearances to account for the powdercoating thickness, but you're still better off with powdercoated even if you have to drill out the bolt holes a little bit. The finish is much more durable than paint, and since I get them done in a batch, it's not much more than a can of primer and a can of paint.

Update: everything is in my hands. I'm packing up and shipping out. People who have paid will get their tracking numbers tonight.

If you haven't paid, please do so. If people on the list still haven't paid by next weekend (July 6th), I'll start down the next run list. I'd like to have everything paid for by the time I get my credit card bill.
