I was hoping for some more info then that like, is it a in stock hose that i can get at napa? or do i have to have it made with different parts? if so do you happen to have the part numbers for it?

Buy the hose from a junkyard for 10 bucks. Take it to a hydraulic shop and take your ford hose with you, tell them to put a fitting on each hose that will screw/mate together to make the 2 hoses into one.

don't worry zainyD, the springs will settle at least 2-2.5".

Thats what I was hoping to hear! I know our frames are nothing like the 98+ frames... those stay pretty much flat the whole way... ours drops considerably at the cab... I just didnt see how the shackle was going to be able to go on the back.... the leaf spring would look like this: \... lol

Our 98+ rangers drop a good 3-4" at the cab also. Thats why my leaf springs are sloped rearward so bad because I have the shackles half-way down the "drop" at the cab and the front of the leafs are mounted right on the front of the frame.

So say someone wanted to also do this SAS, using a front cross member like you have made, but they don't want THAT much lift.. how could they achieve that? Just less lift in the springs?

Make a crossmember that has no drop and/or run standard shackles.

My caster angle sucks ***** b/c i have a reversed shackle with high steer and leafs at ~15* angle downward.

No idea evan but I'll make a quick guestimeasurement tonight.

As far as coils. Anything for a half-ton rated vehicle would be fine. ALOT of people run EB coils, they're tall, but they are offered variable rate. IE: wildhorse coils is what reggie is ordering for his hp44/radius arm swap this week.

Some people run xj/tj coils also. Theres alot more it just depends on what you want to do and how much $$$ you want to spend.

I'm skipping coils and going straight to coil-overs on my re-build.

damn that thing is huge!

Brenton.... we're not going to see a thread in a few months from you saying you're lowering again, are we?? lol.

Jey.. any idea how tall it actually is from ground to hood. i know you mentioned earlier that your friend is ~ 5.10... i was just wondering if you'll have a better measurement (just out of curiousity to see how tall it really is).

no offence but a properly setup coil suspension should not have any of those negative qualities you just mentioned.

well mine was properly set up and street driven for about 4-5 years, and now i have the above issues occuring to my set up... there is more involved in a coil setup than a leaf setup, more things to get wrong that can adversly affect the performance and ride quality
