The "What did you do to your Ranger today" thread
Since I missed two days ago. That was COMPLETE interior removal. Dash headliner and door panels stayed and seats reinstalled so I can drive to work and back. Previous owner installed a aftermarket rear slider window. It leaks. Underpad needed drying
Today.... New headlight, foglight, licence plate Blue bulbs. No special wattage. Just changing up the colors. Also polished my headlamp assebly and marker lights.

Took her for a drive after fixing it after it sat for about 8 Months.....Took her to the gas station got some premium fuel, added some treatment and drove around trying to get her hot after doing a leaky(waterfall) intake gasket, new water pump, new fan, new fan clutch, new belt, new plugs, new valve covers, and cleaned the IAC Valve and throttle Body...She runs damn good!!!
Should I do the T-Stat? I'm going to go up to the hills on labor day with her, and the first year I bought this 93 XLT 4.0 V6 It got hot on these same mountain Passes....That's the only time it ever got hot since I've owned this truck.......Some say its normal, its usually 85-100 out when I take this journey...

Put the warranty replacement KC backup lights back on--23 year warranty is ridiculous!
Put some spacers on my front shocks-can definitely feel the difference in the ride. Stock length shocks are obviously too short with a torsion crank--the shocks were keeping the suspension from going into "full-droop".

Funny story:
Yesterday I went to a buddy's house to weld some of his roll pan up for him. He has a new-ish Chevy S-10 that is lowered, bagged, painted, etc. etc. (Show truck)
After everything was finished, we were walking towards the truck to leave. We then hear whats sounded like a gun shot. We turn around (while halfway ducking in fear of gun fire) to see his front-right of his truck land on the ground. His air bag had busted, leaving him stuck in his wet yard on a slight hill (his frame and exhaust were dragging the ground).
I took him to his G-Pas house to get a large chain to pull him off of the hill. Luckily, this was a good chance to test out my custom bumper.....worked like a champ.

Over the last 2 days I finally got around to doing my lower plenum gasket . Those fuel injectors were a bitch to take out. Tore all the upper o-rings taking them out. Spent the whole weekend trying to find a auto parts store that had them in stock. I finally found a autozone way out on the edge of town that had some. I can't believe out of all the stores here only one store had the o-rings. Needless to say trucks back together, tested for vacuum leaks, found none, now hopefully the check engine light stays off.
Got in touch with Ron Caster and I'm in the process of pulling the trigger on one of his SC kits.
Now I need to find an m-90
Also ordered some sliders from trailgear last week and received notice that they shipped today

I Seafoamed my truck today.. I was a little shaky about it but I put a little over a half of a can in it. I drove it for thirty minutes and it was OK. I notice that it seemed to me that it picked up speed quicker and it idle smoother. Could be that it is what I thought would happen...All smiles for now.
Yesterday.
Replaced my broken tailgate handle with a new metal one from Ford.
Found out my tailgate is tweaked about 1/4" or less. Rt side latch just touches the striker and Lt side is about 1/4" away. I think it's been this way since I bought it with 9 miles on it. It's always been hard to pop the handle.
Back in the beginning of July I put EBC rotors and green stuff pads on it. If I'm going to pay someone $300 for brakes I am going to spend $250 and put "good" brakes on myself.

Installed the factory running boards I picked up from the junk yard for a steal.

Polished my third brake light.

But now I'm working on polishing the 08 superduty light I got from the junkyard with the white cab light portions. Then I'll install on that another day

Also scored IMO. The best Ford dome lamp ever made

Ordered a clutch slave cylinder today. Payday I'll be ordering two new tires for the front and a Centerforce clutch kit. Also ordered a clutch alignment tool, since, even though the Centerforce clutch is $400, it doesn't come with one.
I also bought new shocks for the rear but never put them on. I may sell them and buy the OEM Bilsteins that are supposed to be on there, as opposed to the KYB's I have now.
