The "What did you do to your Ranger today" thread
or just dont lock the damn thing, have a stock stereo that no one would steal, even if it was left on the seat. maybe rig up something like a relay hooked up to the interior lights, and have a horn under the seat that goes off when the door was opened. if your going to use a bolt in the door lock, at least use a torx head, pretty much any moron has a cresent wrench.
Well, when you park your truck in ghetto areas, it calls for ghetto tactics. And yes, they can still break into the truck, but I got tired of spending 114 dollars to replace the door lock every time some a hole with a screwdriver got curious about what's inside the truck...

I never knew what happened after that but just the thought of someone grabbing it from the car, take it home, hooking up the power and instead of a free stereo getting a loud , smoking, stinking mess was enough to make me laugh.

Since I'm on a work computer and virtually NO images ever load, I had to Google what you were talking about.
Didn't know Jeeps were made that early.
Anyway....
To keep with the topic of this thread, I did nothing to my Ranger today... and I won't be doing anything until at least September. It's in storage right now while I'm overseas......

I didn't really do anything "to" the Ranger today, but I did order some seat covers for her.
Ordered them from terry. http://motors.shop.ebay.com/terrato3...d=237459449266
Can't wait to get them. I have seem pictures of his work, amazing!
For those thinking about ordering from him, the man has the patients of a saint. He has communicated with me via email over the past couple of weeks and done so much to help me pick out exactly what I want.

Great tires. They last forever.
Yeah my dad has the AT/S (maybe the silent armor, not sure).
The RT/S is a highway all season all terrain. Nothing fancy.
I have Mastercraft Courser AT2s made by Cooper. Good tires for decent price. I didn't really care what brand my spare was, as long as it held air, wasn't rotted out, and had some tread.

The Goodyear Wranglers are rather pricey. I got lucky with mine.
I bought a set of Fortera's back when they came out. I worked at Autozone in the commercial division so the guy at Goodyear gave them to me cheap. I paid like $600 for the set. Then one of them threw a belt about three years later.
They no longer made the size I had in the Fortera so they were nice enough to prorate the entire set. I picked up the Wranglers for $300 for the set. Been driving on them for about three years now. They still look brand new.

My dad has 65k on his AT/S Wranglers. He rotates every 10k. Good wear, nice and quite. Not very good in the rain though. Fantastic in the snow. He's getting new tires at the end of the Summer so I'm hooking him up on some Firestone Destination ATs. They are AWESOME for the price.
