The "What did you do to your Ranger today" thread
this section is not really meant for questions, but most people go with a Flowmaster or Magnaflow, personally I like my Magnaflow, go to Youtube and check out sound clips and decide what you like best. But whatever you do don't waste your money on a system, just buy the muffler and have a shop weld it up for you, much cheaper that way.
I removed the snorkel and all the related parts and just have the K&N filter coming out of the tube. No power difference of course, but way cleaner looking and easier to change of course. That and took out the center console piece on my seat, way more open now.
fully detailed my stx inside and out. tomorrow i will be cutting off the gear rattle dampener since it has come loose and keeps grinding on the end of the tranny. sometimes it will grab and cause the tranny to buck like it has a busted mount
Battery went bad. Still covered under warranty though. Decided to upgrade to a group 65 instead of the puny stock 58. It barely fit, but the price difference after my discount was $31. I couldn't go wrong with that. No regrets with the swap!
Not today, but in thew last 3 days;
- Got a fiberglass cap (its red, but will be painted flat black)

- Repainted my front bumper, Québec winter roads are a bitch :P And removed my 3x 6in spots...I'll replace the with 1 single 20in led bar

- I mounted my spare tire with a custom mount in the box. I dont got my actual mount, but this is the photo of the idea I stole from tire-gate

- And, I installed my hi-lift to the side of the box

Between yesterday and today racked up 300 miles on the old thing hauling couple things here and there. "Learning to drive" son put all but about 30 of those miles on it (manual transmission). Both truck and son did just fine (in the blowing hard Kansas wind!).
