Looks like you might need to check the axle seal on the right side axle tube too while you're going through the 8.8.

i think thats from the brake line that was on it, i plan to put new seals on it anyways.

thats brake fluid all over the 8.8 but seals and bearings never hurt

yeah, im going to get new seals anyways, it would be kinda stupid not to while its apart.

thanks dad.

going from the 9" brakes to the 10" brakes, the difference is night and day, when i slam on the brakes it stops now vs before it would just kinda slide to a stop.

the truck also seems to have a little more pep to it because of the gears.


edit: oh and my speedometer is only 2mph slow now vs before it was off 6 or more.

haha nice, your still running a 7.5, want to buy a lock-right?

i got a good deal on the 8.8, and my dad had 4.10 gears from his truck.


the truck seems faster with the 4.10 gears.

just wait until you put 35s on it.. or bigger your braking will go back to shizat :(

lol yeah, i plan to be running 35's by the middle of summer, i can't wait.

oh and the d30 uses the single piston calipers, and the front of my truck has dual piston calipers right now, im sure thats going to suck a little.

oh well it will be worth it.
