i just wanted the valve covers orange.

but we are going with silver and black i think. i just told nick to pick.

 

You could do all 3 colors...

Black block, silver (aluminum) intake manifold and heads, and orange valve covers. I personally think that would be a cool color combination, and it would look good with the beadlocks.

 

the valve covers are too big to do them orange and it actually look good. i got this thing under control, u guys are just gonna have to wait and see

i say ford red. it looks f*****G hot on my 4.0. i painted the valve covers, the top of the intake, thermostat housing, water pump pulley and idler pulley.
i got pics in my thread

 

finally a small update.

block is planned to be done this week!
keith black forged pistons
11:1 compression ratio
the heads will be done in 2 weeks
ordered all the bearings and gaskets yesterday

might see some pictures in a few weeks!

9:1 maybe? i think i read that somewhere. I'm not sure, Nick would know more about it than me.

 

That should be pretty sick. Adding 2 points of compression should really make some torque.
