Got the plates on it and a few finishing touches and drove it out on the street for the first time. Went to dinner with my GF and then over to a buddys place. Didnt see any cops but I got a bunch of funny looks from other drivers. I have a feeling the first cop I see is going to pull me over regardless of any wrongdoings, Just cause of how it looks.. I'll have some fresh pics tomorrow as I'm driving it to work in the morning.

leave early to compensate for a road stop.....

the top of the bumper looks good. not many put those curves in to compensate for the gap.

yeah no kidding. Yeah I still may add a lower bar that follows it and tips into it at the ends. just to make it more "bumperish" and may keep johnny law off my back with the look of more metal on the front.

my GF actually suggested it, and even made a paint chop of what she was thinking haha

not a bad idea. maybe even like 4-6 inches with sheet metal kinda like the skidplate. that way you could do cutouts and mount foglights and claim it's a bumper.

just print out minnesota's laws that would be in question and put them in your truck, if you get pulled over and he asks about anything, just pull them out and show him you know its legal.

drove it to work today. I really need to start saving for a detroit.. the lincoln lock is driving me up a wall, And it draws un-needed attention hah. Still needs shock work and some coilover adjusting up front, need my spanners to come in. Also needs an alignment, it tracks great but the steering wheel isnt straight and the camber is off. I'll be painting the fenders/bedsides this weekend.

yeah i know right lol, I wonder if I could take it somewhere or if they'll tell me to get bent. I mean I could get pretty close myself, I just dont feel like it at the moment. I just hope I can get multi-use out of it offroad. And yeah its been a fun project, SAS would have been badass too though. I'll just have to ride in yours for my kicks, and then give you a ride in mine hah

Looks great!! I know if I went LT I would be getting in trouble or rolling the truck and I got going plenty fast stock and still do down dirt roads set-up the way I am now. Heck I hit 70mph with 12psi in my tires 2 weeks ago! I held it for 1/2 a mile! Painted fenders will make it look great! Plus those wheels are badass!!!
