That you do sir. That truck should be a blast with that engine in it. A friend of mine has a truck built very similar to yours (dixon/leaf springs), same power numbers different engine, and it's a blast to drive off-road.

I'm still planning a 347 for mine, but I can't justify it until I blow another transmission or the engine soooo.... when do I get to drive yours? I'll book my flight now.

Haha I would rather bring it down there and drive it a bunch. Only time mine would be fun up here would be silver lake, or some ditch bangn lol

Yeah the stock 5.0 is fun,but when I can I'd love to do a lot of work on it. 347 will most def be fun!

thanks man! sadly its already in winter storage. but now I can rip all the glass, wheels etc off and start slowly working on getting it better before spring. Need to get my 4.88s in the front axle as well as install the new extended axles in to get my 4x4 back. I missed it like crazy. I also still need to get my rear shocks on the bench and get them rebuilt to the new specs I want to run.

Hey, I just had to pay to pickup my front differential. It was being built up with 4:88's the same weekend that the truck got totaled. If you are interested I can snap a couple of pictures. It is wire brushed clean (these things are actually silver), all new bearings, seals, shims and gears. I had the shop add a drain plug into the cover to make fluid changes easier. With tax I paid $625.00. Parts alone were $450.00. I currently have it listed on the classifieds for $450.00 plus shipping (figure $50.00). Maybe we can work something out that would help us both out. Besides, it would only be fitting that a piece of your twin live on as a donor in your truck, right?

haha yeah dude we should work something out that would be great. because mine was really leaky anyways so all the seals would have to be done etc.

oh and ps: its snowing like crazy here now, have about 8-10" or so. welcome to winter!

Sorry to hear about that. It was so cold today in AZ that I had to wear pants and a long sleeve shirt. I will try and send you a couple of pictures of the diff. in the next couple of days. The same guy that rebuilt my 9.75 built this for me. He does great work and is highly recommended in southern AZ. Since insurance is not being kind, I am trying to sell as much as possible as soon as possible to fund my next truck.

Someone let me use their heated garage. K thanks! I want to work on this pos, been too long.

its sitting at a buddy's place till his house sells right now. after that idk where its going to go. I should really go over and let it run for a while before it hates me too much.
