On page six of this thread, there is a complete how to. Check out my thread under suspension posted a couple days ago. I talk about how the lift went for me and all. Honestly, if you have knowledge with tools and jacking the vehicle up and have the tools you need, its cake. Get a buddy, buy some beer, and your set.

I did. from where i cranked the bars up to, the alignment was thrown off +1 degree camber on the drivers side and about +0.5 degree passengers side. It was enough to bother me but im an obsessive compulsive **** retentive ***** at times and I didn't really like how the tires were looking more rounded on the outer edges than i thought they should. So i got the camber kit on mine to bring it into spec again. (it should be 0 degrees camber)

Did anyone ever find out if the camber keys are different for the 08+ trucks too? i have my stockers sitting here if there needs to be any comparison with the earlier ones.

Just finished putting the prekey on the pass side and only got .5" on lift... BUT I maxed out my bolt so I need a longer one cause the key has alot more left to it. Anyone know what the bolt size is and what lenght I should get? Didn't bother doing the driver side until I get the new bolts

Explorer guys call their crank a TT lift...torsion twist. They use a M12-1.75x110 full thread grade 8.8 bolt for the driver side to get a full 2" on their stock keys.

You messed something up in your install. No way in hell you are fully cranked and only got .5 out of it. Adjustment bolts are the same length.

Took the tbar off with the stock key, top of the key was a bit aboce the bottom of the crossmember. Put the new key in, top of the key was a bit under the bottom of the crossmember (prob 1/4" lower than stock), and that's all I got.

Fully cranked stock I was at 36", fully cranked prekey im at 36.5". There is a guy on Ford-Tough.ca (canadian ford truck site) that cranked his bolt all the way on his 09 and only got like 1.5", he had to buy another bolt and is now running like 2.75". He's the guy who sold the cragar's to Jesse (Cooke15). I'll try to find the thread

His solution (3rd to last post)
Might be joining the cool kids - Page 3 - FordTough.ca - Home of Canadian Ford Truck Enthusiasts

I'd say you're suffering from already sagging torsion bars due to being cranked to the max previously in it's life....

you wouldnt think they are wearing prematurely since its an 08 and i dont think hes cranked his bars at all before??

i recently got my prekeys in and the 2.5" block in the rear...

before i was 33" in the front and 34.75" in the back... now after the prekeys/block and a torsion crank (the mechanic said they were "almost" maxxd)
im now sitting 35" in the front and 36" in the rear...

i figured i would get a little more than 2" in the front, with the prekeys+crank, but im still extremely happy with the outcome... the ride is defiantly a little firmer but after a day or two i got used to it.. and it looks 500x better... whenever i see an 08 or 09 i just cringe... just looks like its hovering over the 255s..

anyways... a mod that i would defiantly recommend to an 08 or 09!!

^^ The bars were cranked before for like 2.5" of lift. So I guess after the Prekey and maxed bars 36~" is normal.

Edit: Just maxed my bars. So right now I'm 36.25 in the front and 37.75 in the back. Might put shackles, dunno if I want much rake. After that BL and 33's

My 265's were like .5" bigger than the 255's lol So it's all the AAL.

yeah on my 08' the Tbars are sagging already as well as the rear leafs have flattened out from the belltech shackles. Its frustrating. Im sitting level with my brothers stock 08 fx4 again.

I think everyones sag...

Either way its been a waste of time and Money.
