Just got home from working off. been 3 weeks gone so i washed and waxed the ranger and took it for a ride. That 351 w makes my heart pound. May take it back to see how it does on the 210 mile drive that would be fun!

I do wish it did not sit so low. My intention is to use it for a portable winch. I may decide to sell it someday and custom weld one instead. Still, it's pretty beefy and I only paid $140 for it new from Summit Racing. Installation wasn't too difficult.

Found pretty much brand new cv axles and wheel hubs at the junkyard for it. Got them installed, what a pain in the *** it was because my BFH was at work, so getting the upper ball joint separated from the spindle with a regular hammer sucked. Either way my truck has now been upgraded to the new hub setup in the front. No more vacuum actuated hub bullshit falling off when going down the highway. Also removed all the vacuum lines and vacuum controller for them today as well. Also turned my passenger side outer tie rod in one turn, now my truck drives straight again and the steering wheel is centered. Don't think I'll be running over blocks of ice doing 45 any more.

Been busy but finally got a few things done. Don't remember what I mentioned before because I've been gone/busy/recovering from surgery so some of this may have been mentioned before. I washed/waxed it, under coated the wheel arches, checked all fluids except for coolant as I can't find my gauge ATM. Found muffler leak. Added small corner dome type mirrors for added visibility. changed wiper blades, found clutch fluid resivoir. This is a list of things I can remember from the past few weeks. But most of it I did today.
