Mag Lite mount
I see that I don't have this picture posted on this board, so...
I was the first to buy one of these from the guy that was building/selling them over on RPS. To forestall any questions -- no, the maglite has never slid out of the bracket on it's own and smacked me in the ankle. The bracket is mounted on the inboard driver's seat bolt.

i have a flashlight in my toolbox. kinda interesting to see 9 pages of lights mounted in the cab somewhere. never heard or seen such a thing :o why not the glove box or in the center console or something? why mounted out in the open like that?
good luck putting a 4D cell mag lite in the glove box lol
I checked i think its too far in the ghetto to have the kinds of things i look for. Same with the Walmarts in Norfolk they cater to a different crowd haha... Dont know of an Ace in Chesapeake though
Someone on this thread said they reenforced it with a 1/8th i think it was steel or metal. And used self tap screws w bolts. Where can you get the metal or steel from? Thanks any info is appreciated. I may mount mine on the A pillar
I think that was me and I used 1/8" plate to reinforce the C pillar plastic and I then used machine screws(aka tiny bolts) to fasten them together. I didn't want the screws to rip through the plastic, then I'd be screwed.
Hardware store or hit up a fab shop or home depot might have something. I used scrap from work or school. IDK which.

Yea i can understand. Ok thanks for the help. Now all i gotta do is find my 4D
Did you ever find out any info on this mount ?
Please post it when/if you do, thanks.
ok so i finally bought the huge maglight you guys are mounting all up in visible places....
in my extended cab it slides right under the passenger seat with only the head sticking out. doesn't affect the seat moving forward and backward. doesn't slide out even when slamming the brakes. and is within arms reach.
i'm still confused why anyone would mount one of these ugly things in the open or in a location that can cause massive head trauma in the case of an accident. to each his own i suppose.

The "Clip Mounts” they hold TIGHT but do they wear into the aluminum case over time or does the aluminum wear the clips ?
I am still interested in the under seat setup, anyone have any input on it (a couple of posts up).

OK thanks, I will have to look into making one or two.
Not sure what to use for the rubber side pieces but will need something to support it and hold it tight.
Ltr,
