And yes id like to step up to a set of 42's sometime next summer. And also drop the truck down another 2'' or so, so the fenders would deffinatley loose some more sheet metal.

Well its warm out again so im finally motivated to work on this thing again!!
Picked up a 351 short block today .030 over forged alum. pistons, AFR 185cc alum. heads, ARP head bolts and some push rods, and intake.
Gonna tear the short block down tmrw hopefully and check everything over and then reassemble if everything checks out okay.
Gonna order up some more motor parts this week for it also.
Ill try and get some pics tmrw,
Im also going to be picking up a set of stock chevy 63's for the back since i want the truck lower and a good set of shocks in the back bilisteins maybe not sure yet.

 

sounds awesome. I have to look for a motor to build up for mine now too. After working on my nova I kinda want to go carb. Just love the simplicity and zero wires hanging around

Got as far as I could go on the motor, need to get a push rod length checker and get shorter pushrods, also might need longer studs for the rockers.

right on. Yeah I want to do something about mine, I'm so sick of the clutter of wires in my bay and under my dash. I'm going through and cutting everything, my abs module and going standard brakes, and at this point I'm considering even going strait up carb motor and standard guages all around and lose all the wiring.

My Nova is just awesome with like the 2 wires to the distributor and plug wires..its converting me to want it in my ranger..real nice carb 351 maybe?IDK
