Got both coilovers mocked up today and finally used my tube bender after having it for a year. Hoping to get everything welded in on tuesday. all thats left is cut the dom for the links finish my upper link mount frame side and charge the shocks.
How much nitrogen is supposed to be in the shocks?
Few pics

finish the arm before you place the tower for the shock and travel the suspension to see how high the mount needs to be. Put mine 2 inch too low so the truck sits too high and just have 4 inch of uptravel and 10 inch downtravel. Will have to order 12 inch shock for the front and install the 14 on the rear when i go 4 link rear.

200 psi typically.

looks good man! nice choice in shocks!

i tipped mine in 5 degress and back 5. bolts always run perpendicular to the axle.

400 seems like a lot for the main spring no?

what are your travel numbers based on your specs for the coilover excel sheet off pirate? 60/40? 70/30?

ive always tried to shoot for 4-5 up travel on my front end. but its because i do an all around wheeling/road conditions.

you only want 2" of up travel? you could change your spring rates on your tender to get there without buying shorter shocks. would be a good setup for crawling.

want more up travel but lower truck, without modifing my tower the only way is shorter shock and coil. If i new at first i would have went 3 inch higher in the engine bay.

Thanks,
the shocks werent as much as i had planned $945 shipped, i was expecting more.

Shocks are tipped in 10 and bk 10

Dave at trent fab recomended the 250/400 combo with the shocks mounted how they are, there king so i can do the spring exchange though.

Coilover excel spreadsheet? last i checked i was right about 6'' uptravel prollay gonna be more like 5'' all said and done as i dont want to bottom out the shock hard.

Lower coilover mounts are done, uppers are in place just gotta make my cross tube for support. Upperlink mount is made and in place just need some gussets on it. Weld everything up and the front will be about done still need to add bumps and straps also. Pics tmrw!

yeah I go bare hand but I learned never to wear any pants or shorts that can burn through easy. I wore some basketball shorts one day welding my exhaust and an ember went right through the shorts and my underwear right past the jewels and out the other side. It was close enough to burn me a little..couldnt imagine a direct hit

Everything looks awesome. That sucker must be heavy.

Oh yeah, dont weld in sandals or flip flops....it hurts.
