What about the BOM number on the axle tube? Pics would be helpful too.

Try wire wheeling the axle tube to the left of the differential and see if you can find anything there.

Okay so the axle is a dana 61 ive never heard of it but randys ring and pinion said that i can run a 4.88 gear on it but i will have to buy a thiner race for one side and shim the crap out of it, they dont make a 4.88 for the 61 but if you do all that stuff then you can use a dana 60 ring gear and pinion im not sure that im gonna do it but i already have all the brakes and the things spotless now but it just seems like its gunna wear out to fast but i dont know what do you guys think?

14 bolts are more common/ more cheap than 60's, get one. But unless you plan on shaving it or running larger than 35's it can be somewhat of an anchor in the rocks

Before you do anything I would get the BOM and check exactly what that thing is out of. Have you pulled one of the shafts out to check the spline count yet?

Well i thought it was a 70 to because all my brake parts and drums fit no broblem and same thing with the hub seals. I got the bom number and jermy at randys ring and pinion said that it was a dana 61 but then i talked to a guy named stacy and he said that he came up with a dana 70 but the numbers on the ring gear were from a dana 61 but then i told him that it had a 9.75" ring gear and a 70 would be a 10.5" ring gear so it has to be a 61 unless some one switched the carrier from a 70 to a 61 but i doubt that it would fit. Idk what im gonna do im pretty pissed right. I also noticed one of my hubs were locked in so my clutch packs are probably gone cause that one has been turning, but idk.
Thanks for the help guys and i would love a 14 B or even some dana 60 shafts for mine.

thats the VSS. Vehicle Speed Sensor IIRC. It does different things on different year trucks. Some its just for the ABS others its used for the speedometer as well.

I'd look for a D60 rear out of a E250 or E350. Factory VSS equipped, old 8x6.5 lug pattern, and the more recent models have disc brakes

Okay so im going disk brakes in the rear so will i need to change anything in the braking system or is it all the same and just connect the hard line to the calipers. Will i need a new master cylinder or anything like that?

you need rubber/stainless steel braided lines to the calipers from the axle tube. otherwise the hard lines will break over time. The calipers move.

I bought a 1996 F250 master cylinder for mine.

You will also need a proportioning valve for the rear or the rear brakes will lock up on you.
