Zach how much did you pay for your gears? I got quoted 389 shipped for 2 sets of D44 5.13s with installs from that website you gave me!
Well I paid 189 for the D44 5.13s and install kit, it was a special they had.

Then 179 for D60 gears + 129 for a full install kit.

84 for balljoints. about the going rate anywhere

48 for Ujoints.

not bad. I asked them to quote it all before he said he would knock 20 off the price but i figured free shipping plus the deal on the D44s I doubt it would be 20.

I think 630 for it all.

That's not half bad at all for everything. Are those axle ujoints or driveshaft ujoints?

must be axle u-joints?

i have to buy the most stuff for my 60 because i have to convert to disc, but the front is 2piston caliper disc setup so thats nice. Did you just get weld on caliper brackets for the chevy calipers you used for rear disc?

Yes I will weld them. Once i get my rotors I can test fit and weld.

Yea not bad. Oh they have super fast shipping too, those parts have already been picked up by UPS.

Axle Ujoints. I have a interesting mess to deal with on the driveshafts.

milled, drilled and tapped my knuckles last night for high steer. nice to have friends with a bridgeport.

came out pretty nice. I will get pictures in a bit. Knuckles still need sand blasted but glad to get that done.

We actually had to mill a balljoint out, it was rusted in there bad...

One to the bad news, all my axle shafts are bad, cant get U joints in them the yokes are all bent so I need to get new ones. Ruined my new U-joints too, luckily just some stock 760 spicers. :(

oh and i designed and cut out a truss for the D44, needs some more work before it gets welded on

Pics!

the truss

Stock pile of parts

dieing to get these mounted!

That sucks but I don't think it's uncommon -- I guess anytime we are "recycling" old equipment. I hope this t-case I just put on holds up, lol...

Yeah the yokes would bend when i didnt want them to but i actually spent 3 hours to straighten 2 yokes and got the drivers side put together but i think i will use that as a spare.

I need to check your tranny/trasnfer case thread... i read you wanted no fluff so i figured i would stay out! lol

Damn you beard... making me look slow! Haha... granted I knew that was going to happen anyway. Plus my job wants me to be traveling for 3 out of the next 4 weeks. Ugh... never gonna see the truck again at this rate.

Anyway, looks real good man. Can't wait to see more progress.

f150 knuckles should not be used for highsteer, i think these are the only ford knuckles that can be done.

I'm going to vegas for work, not gambling. I am sure I will throw some money in and play a couple games somewhere but nothing much.

Not much happening right now. Tranny and transfer case are in the vehicle but I need the rear flange changed to the larger one on the t-case -- or the driveshaft yoke end changed to the smaller spacing.

I'm also waiting on my replacement exhaust for the one that was stolen.

If it ain't one thing it's another -- but I know I'm preaching to the choir here, lol -- you know that well already!

If you have any comments post away -- the internal mechanical portion I'm pretty much done posting on anyway.
