Re-did my '06 tails--when I originally Niteshaded them, I taped-off the backup light area and just NS's the red part, but the clear section was too much. I scuffed the clearcoat, taped-off everything but the backup light, sprayed a couple of light coats, unmasked, then sprayed several coats of clear. Once dry, I wetsanded with 1200, polished them out and reinstalled.
thanks. with no air mattress there is 5' from bed to top of tent. i didnt put the top cover on. i just wanted to see how it generally set up. i did run over one clip and it snapped. ill see if it still works, worst case i glue the clip together.
I'm not sure, he logo says sportz truck bed or something. That is also on the bag. The only thing that's gonna suck is teardown/setup every day/night. When I do it, it's coming off the bed as one and built.
Took some vid of the system in the truck. Finally got everything installed on Sunday. Need to do some tuning, fix a lot of vibrations and seal a couple more holes. Sounds a lot clearer in person, my phone sucked at recording this.

Left my windows open overnight with a heavy rainstorm. Took out the seats to dry, found a ton of mold under my rubber flooring... Spent 2.5 hours removing it. Looking to Herculine/rhinoline it now.

Installed all new oxygen sensors and a new fuel filter. Also had my alternator rebuilt (again - under warranty). Hopefully this will finally alleviate my recurring engine light and battery light above 2500rpm.

Finally picked it up from its month stay at the father in laws, Amazing he complained that the power mirrors didn't work, but when I used the lever to select one and move it it went, same as the other... And the a/c worked the same as it had for the last year... He failed to mention that he ripped the cruise control on button cover completly off, and spilled something in the floor , And I knew he somked in it, even used the damn cig later that had never been touched. I had it in the glove box since day one... However, I had to fill it up since he didn't bother after using all my gas in it and he got 18.7 mpg's with it... WTF ??? best I was getting was 16.5 ... damn.... O'well, enough bitching.... Glad to have it home, already gave it a bath.... Guess I will start the search for parts...

Found new cruise control pods for $80 shipped , and started the search for the moog part numbers so I can work on the front. tempted to order a set of lifted spindles and some rear springs and lift this damn thing and not get rid of it...

Where do I start,,, Well last Sunday I used Sea Foam in the gas, crank case and upper head. Thursday I Plasti Dipped my griil and front and back chrome bumpers. Friday I replaced a front hub bearing, and did an oil change. I had extra time so I Plasti Dip my wheels( they look great by the way)!!! Today I washed my truck and sat back and admired the beauty of it all. Next I'll night shade the tail lights and thinking of using Plasti Dip on my fender flares. Whew!!! I'm tired. Any other mods you can think for me to do?????
