yeah i wonder what kind of mpgs i got today like this.

towed way better than i thought it would. towing a car with the 5.0 was like towing my small trailer with my motorcycle with the 3.0 LOL

i didn't have a problem at all.

paying 400$ for the car, its for my gf so i don't have to drive her everywhere, its pretty clean and doesn't really need anything, maybe tires in the summer.

She's leaching man!! BAIL NOW!!

haha, start a build thread for it.

on a serious note $400 is a good deal for a running vehicle with no real issues. it's gotta have like 200k. otherwise i would buy it haha, i need a DD for when the truck is down for modification.

yeah shes been leaching me hardcore, since her mom is a retard and her bf has been leaching her forever. so she moved in with me right after she graduated, and has only been home a handful of times in the past year.

it has like 146k on it, which isn't to bad because i've drove stuff for work thats like 250k +

runs pretty good, has a new battery and a bunch of gaskets.

i have the motorcycle and mountain bike for the summer, so i spend way less gas in the warmer months anyways. this will be nice because she doesn't always work so i can take the car instead of the truck.

ah sorry, her mom's bf, hes on disability and fakes it i'm about 85% sure. doesn't pay her mom anything for living there and they've always been late on their house payments. its pretty bad that i make more money working at a job i started at when i was 15, then she does right now.

you should get rid of some of your quotes in your sig. it takes up a lot of space.

Anyway, good luck with the install of the 5.0. Although in my opinion it sounds like this "shop" is a bit sketchy. My understanding was that shops weren't allowed to let customers into the garage to work on things because of insurance reasons.

But hey, if the guy knows what he's doing, all the more power to you.
"a bit sketchy", did you miss the part about the weed party? <grin>

it wasn't really pulsing when it was at my house, but when i was driving home it was, i wiggled a bunch of grounds but no change on it. its just dark and don't feel like being outside tonight.

but when it was "pulsing" the volts would be from like 14.4 ish and would drop down to like 13.5 or so. but i'm not really sure, so i'ma call the place that put in the alt, and ask them.

tomorrow if its nice i'll take it out for a drive and get some pictures.

run an extra ground cable from battery to engine, body and frame, 10 gauge will do, see if that stabilizes alt output.

pretty expensive trip to the shop but oh well.

exhaust is kinda ugly so i'ma cut part of it off. otherwise it sounds okay. its almost a little tin cannish sounding at higher rpm's so i'ma wait till the muffler gets broke in a bit.

the whole thing is 2 1/4 inch pipe. which is stock, but i think the tip on it is 2 1/2, would going to like a 3 inch tip make a difference in the sound?

sorry for no pictures, its dark out and i had to work all dahy. haha

ALLDATA does not count when doing hot rods or anything other than OEM, shop has call, I was getting $40.00/hr x listed flatrate, $60.00/hr for anything other. Many shops will not touch other than OEM.

Thanks for the 3 posts. ha

i have the "big 3" wiring upgrade already, so i know the wiring isn't bad, for some reason it was the regulator on their rebuilt alt that wasn't at 100%

The Visor, do you remember the ID on it ?
There is none posted for an 03 std cab but I think the 03 and the gen before are the same up front.
Thks…

P.S. Don’t get stuck in a relationship that isn’t going anywhere or can be more trouble than it is worth; too many of them out there to get buzzed from one.
Wait a minute I stepped over the boundaries.

pm'd about the visor.

changed my tune from the 93 to the 89, both torque tunes but def a huge difference in power, hopefully it will help with the mileage.

also don't have any codes at the moment, so hopefully its up a bit.

the bp station here has 93, otherwise SA only has 92 and other local place only has 91.

doesn't take much to spin 33's with 3.73's on 93 octane ha.

it was like 3.29 a gallon lately for it. and the last fill up was like 52 bucks at like 16.2 a gallon.

ordered the ultra gauge for some better monitoring on some temps, also ordered a cb and a 4' firestick, getting a cable and mount from a local place.

May I also have info on your visor and bed cap? I would like to duplicate your vehicles appearance with it being maybe a bit lower. TIA!

It depends on what performance catagory you search in, you don't want Mustang performance for towing so research F150 RV/Towing/off-roading or rock crawling parts for 302/5.0 engine. Target a rpm range you want max torque in and seek appropriate parts and mods for that rpm range. Chips/ tuners/ headers/ etc.
