That's a sweet place for the CB, kinda annoying if you have to keep the lid open when you are using it or need to listen to it

its loud enough to hear with the lid closed, i also plan on running the mic out the side and putting a mount for it so its next to the cup holders on the side.

seats are def worth the upgrade, i paid 100 bucks for both seats and the console. seats are in okay condition, i'd rate them like a 7 out of 10. no rips or anything though. i kind of wish they were heated but i can live.

Thanks for the name change trent, figured i should since its not all about the 5.0 anymore.

finally wired up my fogs on the 01-03 bumper, used a relay and they turn on with the running lights.

what are some good bulbs to put in there? i have the silver star's in my headlights, but i couldn't find the 9145 at walmart the other night.

Watch the wattage, remember Ford and its wiring and keep the wattage within OEM range.

Good Luck, the PROJECT is going well.

heres the work i did on my false floor today.

covers the whole back, drivers side has my amp underneath it

passenger side where the big square missing out of it, is where a hinged lid is going to go. so i can store like a tow strap and misc tools under there as well.

few shots of it in the garage so you can get a better look at it. i'm going to cover it in marine grade carpet once its all done.

fits in there like a glove, once theres carpet on there its going to be a really clean install.

Great idea with the storage, I like it !
Will the amp get too hot or is there some cooling ?

AND the four Aux Lights look great too !

AND !!! how’s the engine coming along ?

yeah i had a crappy platform for my sub before, and i wanted something large and flat i could stack hard cases on(camera/laptop gear)

i can also still open the passenger seat thing, i removed the back rest but i'm planing either to make it fit a battery in there, or just more storage.

the drivers side isn't closed up, theres plently of space for air movement underneath it.

i haven't really done anything on the motor for a while, just been driving it daily basically. i've been thinking about getting a mac intake for it, also new spark plug wires. on the wishlist is torque monster headers, along with a super charger and a full rebuild with a new cam and everything :P

1. I really like the bezel!
2. Interior looks great, I'll send you a pic of my console, I painted almost the entire thing but I ditched the electronics and put cubbies in so those will be painted.
3. I love the false floor, I may have to have you send me measurements cuz that is a really good idea and I want one.

i think so grev, only thing i'd really like to change on the setup currently is a bw4406 manual tcase.

my measurements might be off, because i have the drivers side back seat all removed, so its longer on the drivers side then the passenger side.

either way if anyone wants to copy it go ahead.

length is 47'' width is 20 1/2 depth is like 4 1/2 and then cut around the bump in the middle.

Looking really good! I'm jealous of the stereo, I still have no radio at all in my truck.

got your explorer 8.8 flipped, just need to take the shock mounts off your 7.5 and put them on it. Or figure out a new mounting system and shocks so you can eliminate the stock ones that hang down.

In my 88/5.0 swap I used a 93 Stang Engine and the harness/computer out of the same vehcile.
Painless Wiring has a kit as others, to run a new harness but the OEM out of s Mustang will do.

Check out Sumit Racing, they used to carry a Ford Racing 5.0L Swap Harness, a little simpler.
they also used to sell a Computer/Sensor Package with everything you needed for a swap.
Not sure if they still them.
later

Alright thanks. I know this is completely off topic but do you know if a stepside bed will fit on a regular single cab shortbed? Other than being right length.

Yes on a Std Cab Short Bed Frame or an Ext Cab Frame, but make your own thread up and ask all of the questions you want to...

There is a list: build threads!! haha, you just have to piece it together it yourself

Remember when swapping the 5.0 into standard cab short beds the F-150 BW4406 will not fit with the gas tank. You will have to get an advanced adapter to run a BW1354 or relocate the gas tank. Not to thread jack, just don't want you to go out and buy something that won't work
