Wait it out bro...I'll hook you up.
shane, look at my name again, my first name is matt but everyone calls me morris. :)

i live on the border of detroit. i was at a dealer in michigan on friday, Palmer in chelsea. the guy there had keys for a 03' and they were $60 each. he also asked me if they were the ones at the rear of the truck and i was like, no they are for the front. then he showed me the diagram of the parts/numbers, and it was located mid truck.
i got confused, are they at the front under the front tires, or at the middle at the back end of the torsion bars?

they are at the rear of the torsion bars. Roughly under the drivers side floor pan area.

thanks, i looked through the thread again to try and answer my question. i saw that now. the adjusting takes place at the rear of the bars, the front just kinda locks them in or is stationary.

i'll do this mod soon. i'm getting jealous and envious.

BTW, i agree with the other guys. get some used ones. Youd be better off waiting for someone out here to part out a pre 07 truck and getting ahold of the taller rear blocks and the keys while you are at it. I wouldnt spend $60 a key. They arent exactly a wear item, so a used set isnt gonna hurt anything.

clark, matt, blah. I couldn't tell by looking at your posts! I didn't go to your profile. haha.

Yeah...not a wear item, just like brand spankin' new, but dirtier.

Stay tuned for a complete how-to soon. How-to will cover PreKey mod, torsion bar drop, and torsion bar swap.

Don't have to. I'd wait til yours sag in 5 years to swap bars. (NORMAL WEAR, not because of the PreKey.)

IT WONT LOOK WEIRD WITH THE 255S. I THINK MINE IS STILL OK LOOKING. IN PICS THE TIRES LOOK A LITTLE SMALL BUT IN PERSON IT LOOKS FINE. I ONLY HAVE THE 235'S TOO.

would it be a bad idea to mix n match keys??

reason im asking.. had an rf member send me some keys.. however only ONE key made it!!! the package was busted somewhere along the way...

so now im sitting here with one key, and im wondering if i could get away with buying just one more key or if it would be a better idea to find another "set" entirely??

I got my keys from Tasca and they were great. Brand new, $40 a piece. Doesn't hurt if you get a little extra money, want brand new ones, and don't want to wait or try and find some.

yeah i ended up going with them.. after i thought about it i figured it would be a better idea to just buy a new set, rather than be stupid and risk mix'n matching them... it was fairly reasonable from tasca too...$110 shipped to canada
