the issue isn't the amount of room between the coil spring and the frame. its the shock length. its at least 1 1/2 inches too long with the extended eyelet. my truck with the short eyelet will still compress the shock all the way with the stock bumpstop compressed. And that's with the bumpstop moved in toward the pivot point more. If it was out in the stock location the shock would be compressed befor the bumpstop. and at full droop the uca hits the coil way befor I can get the shock extended all the way. Ive got 1 whole inch of down travel left that I cant use. the 3 1/2 inch travel would be much too short and not enough travel and the only other option is the 5 inch travel. I realize with custom applications everything isn't gonna be exact right lengths. if you measure the stock shock and then measure the amount of inches you have to subtract due to the bracket locations and the fox shock with extended eyelet its way too long. I'm not complaining just letting people know not to buy the extended eyelet first. who knows maybe you will need too, but doubtfull on a stock height truck. You can order them but you cant send the ones back that were already installed on the shock.
Sorry, I had two issues going on in my mind at the same time. The frame clearance was in regard to people saying their springs were contacting the UCA, so I wanted to look at the possibility of being able to move them a little further in.
For the lack of compression travel, I'm going to see if there is enough room to shorten either or both of the upper and lower brackets to get some more travel.
It will be a couple of weeks before I can even think of trying to do this, but I'm going to look into it.

sorry I forgot about the uca issue also. someone said moog ones give a little more room. I think I'm gonna get them tomorrow. My upper ball joint on one side has a little bit of play so I'm just gonna go get both sides. ill see if they have more room on mine. And the other issue maybe you can shorten the bracket. The top I don't know if the spacer could be shortened. The top shock bolt is already pretty tight to push through. I was thinking maybe I could grind some of the shock bucket so I could still put the bolt in, I wanted to try to shave a half inch off that top spacer to give me a little more uptravel. the bottom I have no room to go shorter with the bracket though because the clearance to the cv shaft is already pretty tight with the shorter stock eyelets. although brad posted pics of the carquest cv's he vought and they are noticeably smaller.

I was at the alignment shop today dialing in my coil-overs and still have it within spec. The guys at the shop loved the setup
I got about another inch in height and it drives like a dream.
Tomorrow I have to pin the plow on to see how close the tires are to the flares

Well, I finally got the quotes on the parts.
I can have these made through one of the suppliers I deal with.
Here's the info:
1/4" steel, laser cut, black powder coat finish (blasted and phosphate treated for optimum adhesion)
$125/set plus shipping (probably around $15-20 for continental US)
This is for all four brackets, no hardware. If people would rather have hardware some with it, I can figure that out and put a "kit" price out there.

ME00stepside put a **** ton of R&D into this product. Well there are a couple bumps (no pun) with some applications, this is a good product, the quality is there and even tho I don't have my ranger anymore, had issues with my kit that weren't related to ME00stepside and his production process I still support him.
He took a risk with helping mass produce a kit that others had given up on and reduced the cost for the average person to be able to ditch the **** ride of torsion bars.

I didnt have the connections, skills or time to attempt this project on my own. If you feel you can create a better product, go do it elsewhere. Don't threadjack.

I think I can decipher this, Morris lol. He copied one of ME00Stepside's posts and posted it along with a question asking about them. I thought from his first post that he was coming here to say he could make his own and was trying to steal some business too. He just doesn't know how to use the quote feature haha

You then redrill a hole in the remaining part of the bracket and mount the bump stop further in.

If anyone is interested I bought a set of these brackets powdercoated months back before the 1st of thr year. I also had F.O.A. make coilovers for me with the right length rod ends for a Superlift truck. I have the 12" 600lb springs as well. Everything is brand new. Ive been building a buggy and could use the extra funds for the coilovers and run flats on that and I wont be installing these as I may go straight axle. Me00stepsides kit is top notch. Im not trying to overstep him but if anyone is interested shoot me a pm. I will take $725 shipped for it all.

Hey everybody new here. Im running a 2wd with the 3.0. i sent payment to ME00Stepside for the brackets and am in contact with DSM for the coilovers. As far as i understand it since im 2wd i wont need the extended eyelet so can i run a longer shock for more travel correct?

Is the vehicle at "stock height"? If so, the trail will be limited by the 'upper control arm' making contact with the coil on the shock as the suspension is at full extention. Then your most likely gonna be limited on the compression by the tire making contact with the wheel-well. Unfortunately, we have vary little suspension travel with these rigs. Additionally, I don't think you are to be running the extended eyelets on the shocks if you're staying at stock height.
Side note: in the beginning it was thought that you MUST have the extended eyelets in order to clear the CV axle, regardless. However, it has been found to still have just enough clearance to the CV axle on stock height trucks with the standard eyelet. it seems to run best on only the rigs with a lift, like a Superlift kit. So, in other words if you're at stock height with 4X4 or 2wd you're not to run extended eyelets either way.
