ahhh im getting ANCY!!!! I got some more parts in like my AC lines (thanks Bob!!!) and a Clean trans harness so thats one less thing to worry about when pulling trans from JY. leaving for hunting in TN this weekend tmw so wont be workin on it till next week. Still waiting on the CMP Sensor Install tool to come in. Ordered it weeks ago to find out the order said shipped in the warehouse but never did, so thats comin in next week along with Valve lapping Compound to finally finish these heads! I need to get spark plugs and I think that is absolutely it for Engine parts!!!

MAF ?...will my stock 3.0 MAF work?

My understanding is that the 5.0L and 4.0L are the same at 70mm but the 3.0 part is smaller, definitely not what you want on a modded 5.0 or even on a stocker. Besides that, the transfer function in the Ex PCM would surely be wrong for the 3.0 MAF and that would cause fueling errors.

If you are using ARP bolts, go by the ARP measurements. They are stronger than stock ones obviously. Stock torque specs are for stock style bolts.

Picked up my 8.8 this weekend!! pulled it from the JY on sat. so easy found one that already had the springs off and was hangin but the sway bars lol. so 4 bolts and some time messing with the stupid E brake cable and were good to go! also picked up and trans oil cooler and MAF. Was gonna pull a 2wd trans but Im bidding on one on Ebay and i didnt have the right wrench to take off the 5/8 bolts.

All i can say s thank god i am BL 'ed those bolts are one huuuuuge pain in the *** to get to for that trans and engine.

Bad news. That 96 transmission won't be plug and play with the 99~2001 engine/PCM.

as far as the rockers and valve covers go (page 1) roller rockers will fit under stock mustang covers, depending on the ratio, 1.5 (stock) and 1.6 will fit, 1.7 need more clearance under drivers side cover, however, you can remove the baffle and they will clear (filler tube baffle)

i would do the 75mm throttle body AND mass air (if it's a MAF motor rather than speed density)

AND an email to baughmann engineering to see what i can do to make it work if i cant get my money back. THIS SUCKS!!

Got some work done on the rear axle today. Not much due to daylight lol brakes removed and trashed lil sanding/ grinding, Pulled the cover, Gears look Perfect!! Basterds punched the Cover so I gotta pick one up. Also I Cut the top brake line at the JY and ive notices the lines are pressed in not screw type soo need some guidance on that.
