Dude, you are like the 5th person to say that so I might just do that. I would be happy to build anyone an engine in any configuration they want and help out. for a nominal fee of course. lol
do it! if ur having fun and can make money at the same time...well you have the same benefits a pornstar has!

as far as building the engines from the looks of it you can definitely make some money, i might even consider workin out a deal with you when i do my V8 swap, just out of curiosity how much would you charge?

^ i dunno i mean shop rates are like over $100 an hr now. so since most people on here are on a tight budget and im not looking to take anyone to the cleaners I would imagine anywhere from 300-400 flat rate.

^ sorry for my ignorance, "kit without the engine" do you have a non explorer engine you are trying to make into an EXP engine. if thats the case you simply need a parts list to make it an "Explorer 5.0"

Yes I built an engine a while back for another project and it would lend itself very nicely in the EDGE.

So i was just thinking and have brought it up a couple of times, If there was a kit with everything except the engine it would be a good thing. Just add an engine and you will be all set.

Back on swap. It is suppsoed to rain for the next 10 days here in "sunny south florida" so im really hoping it will just raing in spurts.

Here’s a last minute idea, why not use a floor shifter similar to the Lokar Auto Shifter.

That would look good with a Dual Stick setup.

Just thinking once I read you had installed the Column Shift, not my favorite thing.

Luck on the swap man.

LOL i was originaly going to go with a floor shifter but price was the limiting factor. and theres really not one i like that much. i would want a console around it and i dont have time to build one now. Mal's car has been lacking attention since i started this swap. needless to say she cant wait for it to be done either lol. It was actually really simple lol only thing is now i dont have the trigger key release thing

My wife is so relieved I am finally done with my swap! I went with the column shift also and I love it b/c it has the tilt wheel and it looks like it came from the factory with it! Best of luck with the swap..Keep us updated with lots of pictures!

Ill do my best to take as many pics as possible.

first issue. lol. Now that i undid my column and put it all back in i now have the door chime going off when the door is open and the key is out. no matter wat.

I def see hotspots on the dash which i dont like so dont think those leds are staying. pressed needles down to far so they are stickin a bit too.

I had that happen but not after a Column Swap, just happened, I sprayed the Locking Mechanism with White Lithium Grease, up inside, and that fixed the problem.

The only way you can eliminate the HOTSPOTs is too either run some strip lights and play with the positioning to get what you want or go with Glow Panels if they fit your setup.

Got engine and trans mated. Thinking about takin the extra time to just remove font lights, grill cant take more than an hr. ive done most of it before so im pretty familiar, n i work fast lol. got a massive lift thanks to Chris! and Im gonna take off the front tires, n put it on jacks, honestly cuz im 5 8" n its a b""ch reachin inside there lol Idont think that it should take more than a few hrs to cut of my exhaust and take out the 3.0. mite have to be a good BF n show up to this thing my GF is doin tmw night.

to be conitnued
