All these set-backs will make it sooo worth it in the end though.

Same thing happened to me a while back, 302 not a 5.0L but… get a good set of Roller Rockers, Comp Cam Pro Rollers are the way to go but the Crane Rollers are good too. Get the Locks too, if the studs are long enough and do not tighten all the way.

Take it all in stride, everything is happening for a reason, think if you had the engine in and rev’g the **** out of it and the rocker blew then…
Think how nice the truck will be when done and how great the new apartment will be with Mel, lucky man.

RETURN the set, get something new, Comp Cams, Crane, maybe consider a 1.7 Rocker Ratio, this would give you a little more lower end and a little more HP.

IMO, this is total BS. As I understand it, you're running a relatively mild B cam and the engine hasn't even been driven because of the trans issues! If a rocker snapped under those conditions, it is total garbage and the rest of the set is suspect. Ask to talk to someone in authority at Summit and insist on a full refund.

There were more than a few times when I questioned my sanity while doing the swap. Hang in there.

This was probably already addressed at some point, but with these swaps can you still use the stock gauges?

Yes...I would say 100% of the time, but I could be wrong..I did the swap and all mine work perfect...after a little repinning of course.

Alright so I found a set of stock rockers on ebay and got em orderd up.. looks like im just gonna switch them out and maybe upgrade later... Any one got any good suggestions on the best way to change them out in the truck, i.e. getting each one in position to torque down.

as far as this set. im sending them back to summit, when i get them off, for review.
