The "What did you do to your Ranger today" thread
Heater-A/C Fan has had two speeds for a while now.
Decided to replace the resistor pack.
Cut off the OEM connector, crimped and soldered wire lugs on the wires and soldered the lugs to the pins in the heater sided the connector.
Tested, had different speeds but could not tell if there were four or not.
Shrunk the heat shrink and got it all back together and now I have one speed, high !
WTF - what did I do wrong, did burn up the new resistor pack while soldering or heat shrinking ... .
Need to get a write up started in one of the tech forums.

I don't really care about money. If I did, my truck would still be stock like yours.
Hey. I've done a few things. I got the Tuner and Body lift here. Wheels and Tires soon.
Dude you have been saying wheels and tires for like a year! Even I didn't wait that long!
Ordered fog lights and new valance, hope to have everything by next weekend so I can install it on my next days off. All I need to complete the swap is 1 pigtail, bezel and relays are already installed.
I like those! Look like my Level 8 Tracker. And there is no chance of your center cap rattling like mine...
Finally installed fog lights, been wanting to do this for over a year. Decided to order everything on Monday and picked up the last of the parts this morning. All parts are Ford, no aftermarket was used. 1 fog light is new, valance is new and 1 fog light is used but looks new.

Finally did the Rear disc conversion. changed from solid FG tonneau to a folding Aluminum. took my winter tires off and put my Bridgestone Revo 2 A/T back on. replaces my Sirius Sat antennae. new front pads and rotors. ordered a new Gibson dual exaust, lower ball joints and upper control arms with ball joints. About to order new shocks also. This was all over the last 7 days. Tonight, in goes the new led tails, hid projector fogs and my bull bar gets painted. I'll install it tomorrow night.
