FWIW, the 31-spline slip yoke in my conversion is 1.885" OD where it enters the seal. As we discussed before, mine is 4WD, so this may not apply to your 2WD. Still it gives you a number for comparison.

If you need one like this, mine came from a 2006 Navigator/Expedition. I bought it from this eBay seller and he has 2 more left. $25 shipped - this has to be the best deal anywhere on a brand new Ford slip yoke.

OK! woohoo! kinda crappy but at the same time good news. I found the correct size slip yolk. yall aint gonna beleive this. alll that leaking is coming from being smaller .098" !!!!! My Ranger slip yold is 1.5" and the explorer is 1.598" freaking crazy man. Great news is that they use the same ujoint which means that i can use my driveshaft just replace the slipyolk!!! whew. bad news is if i cant find one ill have to get one from FORD for 150 bucks

aight so i went to the junk yard today and got EVERYTHING that i need; exp driveshaft with yoke. picked up the stock valve covers. those Ford motorsports ones look great but they are too big for practical use. lesson learned. Also picked up stock intake tub cuz mine was rigged and kinda just settin in there, also got the right heater hoses.

HAHA get this so i got to remove the upper intake to get to the valve covers and VIOLA the front most part on the bottom snapped off!! SOB but good news is i have a spare one. unfortunately its not all nice and pretty like mine.

Also heard some pretty loud chatter from under the passenger valve cover. Got a loose rocker arm, hence the reason for going ahead and removing intake and changing valve covers. Unfortunately my spare intake and some other tools i need to remove the passenger valve cover are at my old house. pickin those up tonight before hockey, dropping driveshafts off tmw to have yoke changed out and hoping to have her purring and running 100% by tmw evening, if jesus loves me lol

The truck was on the dyno… with the Rocker Arms loose ?

That means you might get a little more Torque/HP out of her.
