Just a thought....Check your MAF sensor....I went thru 5....3 used and 2 new until I found a good one. Would idle fine then when I went into gear it would stall...Unplug it and if it stalls fire it back up and it will run fine...because the computer will go into limp mode.

lol yeaaa but then i would be leaving the steering problem to you. haha

simple fix. chopped the bolt at the threads, and chopped the head off leaving the flange and just welded it in.. prolly need a lil more grinding but its good to me!

tru.

Exhaust done.. single exit in front pass tire. 3" 2 into 1 flowmaster 40 series.. sounds good.
ECM really needs to adapt, but i havent driven it so im sure its lil hard.
BIG crack in intake elbow where upper radiator hose connects. easy fix.
Need an o ring on high pressure power steering hose. ddint come with one but still leaks.
Fix my MAF intake.. easy.
get fan tool, install fan.. easy.
Change over Tach wire... havent put dash all back together so... easyish
Driveshaft will be done tmw. pick up on way home from work... easy
Do have a check engine light so either ill drive it to autozone and get the code read tmw evening (i doubt) or ill bring the one i have home from TN.

Once I buttoned up the small stuff...I took off for a 40 mile round trip drive and it seemed to reset or take care of some "soft codes" because the engine smoothed out and I have not had any trouble other than my MAF issues. You should be fine..only codes I show are EGR and I believe I read earlier that you had those removed. Good Luck and have fun in TN.

UPDATE!! unfortunately not good... Transmission is Screwed.
Codes-

P1747 - Electronic Pressure Control Solenoid
P0755 - Shift Solenoid B Malfunction

WRONG TRANSMISSION!!!!!!! unless i can get this to work... problem is i cant figure out what transmission it is.. it is a 4r70w aode.... had a different harness than the explorer... changed out the harness with the correct explorer one and the truck fired up no problem

If anyone has any ideas of what trans this is please pitch in.. heres som hints. It has the correct 12 pin range sensor, however it has a VSS in the tailhousing!!!

Im gona track down who i got it from and try to have them send me a new one. or im gonna have to eat it and just order a new one... sucks ***.

even worse news. im moving into my new place this upcoming saturday and work m-f 8-5.. YAY!!! working from time i get home to sundown is getting old real fast
